Circolo dei lettori di Torino  – Festival Radici

Leone Sinigaglia artista senza confini

Performance ideated by Lydia Cevidalli, violin
Laura Vergallo Levi, piano
Rosario Tedesco, actor

The show brings to the stage the reading of the correspondence between Leone Sinigaglia (1868-1944) and the greatest composers, musicians, artists, singers, writers and writers from all over Europe of his time, highlighting their ties. An eclectic man, who felt deeply Italian and from Turin, but at the same time European and cosmopolitan, Sinigaglia has been almost forgotten in our country, due to the years of anti-Semitic censorship.
The project, which comes to life to remember Sinigaglia 80 years after his death, wants to bring the man to light, through an unpublished correspondence, collected in libraries and archives throughout Europe, the United States and Australia.
The readings will be interspersed with the performance of a selection of compositions
by Leone Sinigaglia for violin and piano
