In the very rich panorama of Venetian musical history, the Ensemble Salomone Rossi with the “Benedetto Marcello Project” wants to spread the presence of musical testimonies linked to or inspired by the Jewish world in the 17th and 18th centuries, committing itself to recording the complete Psalms set to music by Benedetto Marcello in the work L’Estro poetico armonico. The compositions of Salomone Rossi (Venice 1620), Benedetto Marcello (Venice 1724) and Matteo Lucchini (Prague 1729) represent, with their specificities, an open attitude, capable of integrating different traditions, giving life to a “dialogue between cultures in music” and cultivating the ability to communicate, specific of any kind of art. Lydia Cevidalli (direction and violin), Marta Fumagalli (mezzo soprano), Giacomo Coletti (violin), Marco Frezzato (cello) e Giovanni Togni (harpsichord) will be playing music by Benedetto Marcello, Antonio Vivaldi, Matteo Lucchini.
