Born in 1999, Italian countertenor Nicolò Balducci is rapidly establishing himself on the international concert and opera scene, earning praise for his “sense of joy and freedom in expression” (Opera Wire, USA) and his “crystalline timbre… the athleticism of his coloratura is enviable” (Gramophone Magazine). He is the winner of the 1st Prize and Young Artist Award at the 2022 Renata Tebaldi Competition, the 3rd Prize and Young Artist Award at the 2022 Cesti Innsbruck Competition, and the 1st Prize at the 2021 Niccolò Piccinni Competition. He is also a semi-finalist at the 2023 Operalia Competition in Cape Town, South Africa. Nicolò Balducci is an exclusive artist for the Swedish record label BIS Records (Apple Music). Nicolò Balducci obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Conservatorio of Matera and his master’s degree with honors in Baroque singing from the Conservatorio of Vicenza, where he studied with Prof. Gemma Bertagnolli.
