He began his acquaintance with historical pianos by attending the teaching of Laura Alvini. Winner of Italian (Bologna 1993) and European competitions (ECBO selection, Paris 1991), he has worked as a continuo player and soloist, collaborating with various groups: Ensemble Concerto, Il Complesso Barocco, Accademia Bizantina, Ensemble Aurora, Ensemble Zefiro, the European Community Baroque Orchestra (ECBO), the RAI Orchestra of Rome, the Mozart Orchestra under the direction of Claudio Abbado, and has collaborated with opera houses such as the Massimo of Palermo and the Monte-Carlo Opera House. He has recorded for various record companies, including Glossa, Brilliant, Dynamic, \u201cAmadeus\u201d, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, EMI-Virgin, Deutsche Grammophone (Archiv Produktion), as well as for RAI and various European broadcasters. He has been invited as a teacher, speaker and jury member at numerous Italian and European institutions including the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice, the Ugo and Olga Levi Foundation in Venice, the European Harpsichord Competition in Bologna and the International Courses of Ancient Music in Urbino. Since 2016 he has been a member of the steering committee of the Fondazione Italiana Musica Antica and from 2018 to 2022 he was director of the International Courses of Ancient Music in Urbino. He has taught Harpsichord and Historical Keyboards at the Conservatories of Cagliari and Milan. He is currently a teacher for the same disciplines at the \u201cG.
